For Peytons party I wanted to keep it small so I just invited four of our close friends. It turned out to be lots of fun. We played games like whoof whoof meow (Duck duck goose), pin the paw on the puppy, the barking contest, Dog trainer says (Simon says) , Dig up a bone (I put Scooby snacks in a bag and hide them around the house). We also made dog collars out of licorice and strung lifesaver gummys on them and then tied them on. Peyton loved this activity she really just wanted to eat all the candy. We played freeze dance to "Who let the dogs out"! It was so funny to watch all of them dance. All in all our party was wonderful. Peyton really had a great time, her very favorite things are animals and she especially loves dogs. I want to thank Sherry for all of her hard work while she was here! It was so fun to have Grandma Sherry with us for Peyton's Birthday it made it even more special! And I just new that the puppy cake would turn out with her help! Thanks to all who made Peyton's Birthday so special!

These are some of the decorations at Peyton's party! Sherry and I made the cake! We stayed up top One in the morning I love how it turned out! I almost loved it so much that I did not want to cut into it! Of course we did and it was really yummy tasting to! We put crumbled cookies on the top of it to make it look like the puppy had some hair. My mom found the picture and directions of how to make it in an old cake book that she used for our birthday when we were little. As you can tell I am very proud of it!

It was so much fun having Grandma Sherry with us for a whole week! We had so much fun! We tried to visit all of our favorite places. One of them is story time on Thursdays at the library! Graces Swimming lessons

Grace loves her swimming lessons. She is learning alot and she can already float on her own! She is so very brave! On the first day she jumped right in with a big smile on her face!! Some of the other kids were screaming and running away. Not Grace she was being such a big girl! I am so proud of her! These are pictures of her first class! Don't worry I have taken pictures of all of her lessons so far. She has only had to miss one lesson because of her asthma. She gets to take ten lessons in all, they are every Saturday and the best thing is they are right across the street from us so we just walk. We also are doing family swim so that Peyton does not feel left out!

The night before swimming lessons Grace decides that she can't wait any longer to put on her swimming suit! So of course Peyton being her shadow goes and puts on hers. I tell them that swimming lessons are not until tomorrow morning and Grace says that's fine I will just sleep in my suite so that I am ready for tomorrow. She was so cute! I let her wear it until bedtime and then told her if she slept in it then it would be dirt and she would have nothing to wear to swim class. She put on her PJ'S and had a hard time sleeping because she was so excited!

Yes Peyton has chocolate on her face. And Yes Grace is trying to smile with chocolate in her mouth. Alittle scary but it made me laugh!

While Grandpa Rich was here he requested chocolate cake. So of course Grace, peyton and I went and made him one. Yummy chocolate cake! Grace named it Gracie Cake. She did the frosting it was homemade whipcream and rasberry pie filling. It was YUMMY!!!

Kissing Gorillas! Yes you read that right!At the Omaha Zoo the Gorillas come up to the glass and sometimes you can get them to pucker there lips and kiss you! It was so fun to watch as we all took a turn kissing the glass to see if we could get the Gorilla to kiss us back! Of course he did!!! You are probably thinking yuck all those germs on the window, are you serous! It was to much fun not! And luck was with us because not one of us got sick!

Of course when Grandpa was here in January we had to visit the Zoo! We love the Omaha Zoo if you have not seen me write it a million times before. Sorry but we really do. It always is a fun tripe with the kids. Anyways we took Grandpa Rich there for his second time. Most of the Zoo is indoors so you can go all year round. We love the Gorillas and usually spend a lot of time there. Grace got a new camera so she thought it would be cool to take pictures of our tripe. In a lot of the photos you will see her with her camera.

We have so much fun when Grandpa comes, When Grandpa comes, hooray!Grandpa Rich came in January! We spent most of the time in the house because it was to cold to go out. I think that it was in the negatives the entire time he was here. It was nice staying at home and getting to visit. TACO SALAD

1 1/2 lb. ground beef

1 16 oz. can Pinto beans
1 15 oz. can Kidney beans

1 15 oz. can Black beans

1 15 oz. can Corn

1 15oz. can Olives (optional)

1 4 oz. can Green chiles

1/8 cup Taco Seasoning

1/8 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup milk

Just brown the meat in a stock pot. When meat is done then add all other ingredients and warm on medium heat for about 5-8 minutes. Done!

You can dress it up with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese,tri-colored chips, sour cream and/or ranch dressing.

The car! The kids have played and played with this car! Every time I turn around they are riding around in Peyton's car. They even ride on the top of it! Grace told me that Grandpa Rich taught her how to do that, I don't know if I believe her. But you never know! We had so much fun when Grandpa Rich was here! I have more pictures to come of his tripe.

One of my many favorite things that Peyton got for Christmas is,a little baby that she can take to church or in the car, just about anywhere.You can change her clothes and put her in and out of her bed.Then you can hang up her clothes and roll it up, tie the bow and away we go. My mom made it! My mom is amazing at sewing! We were lucky enough to get something homemade from Grandma Joyce.Princess Pea loves all of her things that she got for Christmas. Grace and Peyton are still playing in the car that she got from Grandma and Grandpa Mcguffin. It sure has been nice for them to have new toys to play with. and of course it has been awesome for me!

Christmas day was a lot of fun! We watched the kids play with there new toys, played the wii!!! And I cooked. Grace and Peyton were beside me with the easy bake oven. By the way the easy bake oven is not so easy!!! Its probably me! The missionary in our ward were supposed to come over but since we have so much snow! 2 Feet of snow and still coming down! They decided that they would not be able to drive there car on roads that were not plowed . At 3:00 they called and told richie that they were not going to be able to go to dinner at there other appointment either. We were both very sad for them because it was Christmas and they were away from there family! I just kept thinking of my little brother on his mission and how sad it would be for him.So Richie got in the car and went and picked them up in out four banger of a car! They walk some of the way, but in the end they were able to come to our Christmas dinner and Richie was our hero! I love happy endings! Yes Cheesy! But cute! All and all Christmas was great! We missed being with family but had fun being our own little family too! We love and miss you all more then you know! I hope that we can come visit soon. WE are on a law school adventure!

Christmas morning! Of course I was the one that had a hard time sleeping because I love Christmas. We got up at 7:30 am and opened our presents theses are some of the presents the kids got! I got a new camera and took a ton of pictures all day so get ready for a parade of pictures! Peyton and Grace were so cute Christmas morning. They sleep up in our room in a tent and then we all went down to see what Santa, aunts and uncles and of course Grandpa and grandmas had brought them.

When the weather channel said that we might get snow I got excited but after three days of being stuck in the house, its getting a little old! I had no idea that we were going to get this much snow! Christmas time at the MCGuffins. So far we have made ginger cookies, decorated a gingerbread house and gotten a Christmas tree. Grace and Peyton are in the process of making ornements to hang on the tree and to give to there friends. It has been snowing all day so we have been stuck in the house all day. I hope this is not the theme of the winter. So far we have love the month of December. We will like it even more when Richie is out on break!!!

I have not blogged in along time! So most of my pictures are going to be random,sorry! I lot of the pictures have storys behind them I just don't have time to tell them all. In one of these pictures grace and peyton have one pink boot on there foot. They both wanted to wear them one day and Grace is the only one with pink cowgirl boots so she thought it would be great if they both wore one. WE almost left the house in them. Thankfully I saw them with only one shoe and asked Grace what they were doing. When she told me it made me laugh out loud. Kids are so cute and it was cute for her to share her boots with her sister.

This year for Halloween we did not buy costumes we just tried to use what we had. Peyton is a bumble bee and Grace is a pirate but not a scary one! She is a nice Pirate that helps people. I can't wait to go trick or treating with them! We already did trucker treat last Saturday! I will take lots of pictures tomorrow! These are just pictures of them dressing up at home.

Pumpkin Pie Play dough

We made this pumpkin play dough today! It smells awesome. My kids loved helping me make it and playing with it! I just thought maybe someone else might want to make it too!

Play dough

Materials

1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup water
Food coloring (we used 6 drops of red and 15 drops of yellow)

Instructions

Combine the dry ingredients in a nonstick saucepan. Add the oil, water, and food coloring and whisk until smooth. Stirring constantly with a rubber spatula, cook the mixture over medium heat until it forms a ball, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Turn the dough onto a counter, let it cool slightly, then knead the dough until it has a smooth texture, about 1 minute. The dough will keep up to a week in a ziplock bag.
To make stems, place some pasta (we used fusilli) in a ziplock bag. Add five drops of green food coloring and a teaspoon of water. Seal the bag, then let your tot squish the pasta around until it's tinted. Pour the pasta onto a piece of waxed paper and let it dry for about five minutes before pressing it into your pumpkins.

On Graces birthday we woke up late ate oatmeal with raspberry's, graces favorite! Then we all went to the Zoo! WE love the Zoo and we were so excited to show Grandma Joyce everything ! It really is an amazing Zoo! We had lunch in the rain forest cafe. We ate lunch and watch the monkeys and birds! The girls loved it! It also was a beautiful day! It was 70 degrees!!! Grace celebrated her birthday on the 17th of October! We had a tea party with four of her friends in the neighborhood. We first had all the little girls design there own hats and then we played a few games! Of course after that we had our tea party and cake! It was a wonderful day! It was so fun last week Grandma Sherry flew in on Wens day! That day we went shopping and yes she had only been here a few hours and we found our selfs at the mall! It was lots of fun! The kids picked out there Christmas ornaments, they do it every year with Grandma! Then the next day we went to the Zoo! We love the Zoo and it was fun to have Grandma there to see it for the second time. We loved having Grandma here to hang out!We actually had both of our Grandmas here! Grace saw this Chocolate house at the store! We decided to get one because we love making our ginger bread house at Christmas. It was a lot of fun making a Halloween house! The kids loved eating all the candy. It was hard to explain to Peyton that you dont eat the candy until the house is done. I can't believe that Grace is Four! It has been so much fun having her as part of our family! These are pictures of Graces 1-3 Birthdays. My friends in Nevada sent me a box with lots of fun things for my bathroom! They are awesome, did I mention that I have the best friends. My bathroom is so bright and cheery! The Zoo is amazing in Omaha! We like it so much I think we have gone four times and are thinking about going again this week! The animals are so close to you. The rainforest is my favorite. There is a monkey that comes out on a tree branch and it is so close to you that you can reach out and touch it. Grace almost did. That did scare me a little. Grace and Richies favorite part of the zoo is the gorillas. They like to hit the window and scare people. Grace loves it . Peyton, well, she loves it all! She just loves all animals. I love watching her face!!!

Our tripe to Omaha took us three days. It was 18 hours in a car or truck with kids and a dog! It was a pretty good tripe we stopped lots. Grandpa and Grandma McGuffin come along for the ride. They were lots of help with the kids and the dog. WE are finally here and are settled down. I love Omaha! It is very different from anywhere I have been. There are lots of rolling hills everything is green and there are lots of weird sounds at night. Richie is now in school full time and studying hard. We do get to see him more than I thought, so thats nice!

It has been so hot latley that the kids have been playing in the sprinklers. THis is Katlynn, Grace, Kimmi and of course Peyton. She is Graces shadow. Grace loves it most of the time.
Grace is always in the fridge it drives me nut. But at least she is eating. Most of the time I can't get her to do that because she is to busy!

So my birthday was last month. These are some pictures from it. For breakfast Richie made me pop tarts at 4:30 am because that is when he leaves for work! Then Grace, Peyton and I had a tea party for lunch. Grace got her plastic tea set and set it all up on the table and said guess what mommy I have a surprise for you. There it all was so we had a tea party.Grace had even invited some of her stuffed animal friends to my party. Very cute! l love having girls! Richie and Grace made me my birthday cake which was so good! My mom also made me a cheesecake that was so good. Hey it was my birthday and yes I eat lots of cake and Cheesecake! This summer has been so much fun! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. In July I will be packing up everything that we own. I am excited and sad at the same time. I am going to miss living so close to family but excited for the adventure a head. In the last month Peyton has learned to walk. She is walking everywhere. We are so proud of her! It is fun to see how excited she is with herself.

Our new puppy! Richie suprised us with him one day. His name is Moose. If you ask Grace what his name is she will tell you his name is Mr. Moose or Moose. A .MooseThe girls had been bagging for a new dog. They were so excited. I know what you all are thinking. Your moving in a few weeks to go to Law School and you got a dog. That is what I said to Richie! But we love him. He is a sweety and great to have around. And no time is a good time to get a dog. We have been talking about it for Five years and had not done it for one reason or another.

Trail ride

Last Friday we went on a trail ride. I have not been on very many this year . It is pretty hard to take to kids on horses for nine hours. We were able to work it out so that I could drive the Samaria so that Peyton and Grace could take naps and be able to take a brake form the horses. Peyton and Grace thought riding a long in Grandpas work car was so fun. We even had a visitor riding a long with us. Grace called her Chocolate milk (Calf) she was only a couple of days old so she had a hard time walking into the mountains with her mom. Both Grace and Peyton thought that was the best thing ever. Grace kept asking me if I was going to be sad to leave Chocolate milk in the mountains. I would tell her no that she was going to be happy to be with her mommy and that the grass was better there. Grace said that she was sad because she liked her.

Sorry no pictures! My grandpa lemon is really sick and my mom and all her brothers and sisters went back to see him. So my mother took my camera. That is why I don"t have any easter pictures.
We had a great easter. Grace and peyton went to two easter egg hunts! They got tons of candy at both! Easter morning Grace got up before us so we are sad to say this year the easter bunny did not hide the eggs but daddy told her he would. Peyton and Grace got candy and bubbles and stuffed bunnys. Peytons First Birthday

Peyton was born March 4th!!!
I can't believe that it has been a year. Peyton had a wonderful birthday. She eat cake and played with her sister. Peyton loves to yell at the top of her lungs to get attention. She has a crazy smile that makes me laugh. She loves ice cream and cookies. She loves playing with Grace! Her favorite toys are dolls,Graces doll house and her monster book. We had a Birthday party for her on the 7th that Rich and Sherry where able to come to so we had both sets of Grandparents. It was so fun.

So no picture sorry, but you probably would not want to see it anyways! There are no pictures of Valentines day because my mom and I went to urgent care in Boise with Grace. She wouldn't breath. We thought she was doing much better on the ride home. Richie and I still canceled are plans so that we could be with her. Then about 9:00 that night we ended up going to the emergency room with her. We only stayed there a couple of hours. They gave her an inhaler to help her breath. What a day! But that is not the end of the story!
This past week I have been sick with the flue/cold bug. My kids all got it plus ear infections and Pink eye! Peyton is also getting two teeth on top of all that. Know Richie is getting it too. What a week!!! I can't wait to feel better and I can't wait for my kids to feel better. We all look so pathetic. Next week will be better for sure!

These are some pictures that I don't think I have put up! I have so many on my camera that I have not downloaded. Hopefully I will get them downloaded this week. I just love this picture of Grace and Jett kissing. We have a big one up in her room. She miss him very much and all her other friends in Nevada. Something new about us is that Grace got her ears pierced!!! I have been begging her for weeks to get them pierced and today while we were in Walmart she decided that she wanted some Tinkerbell earings. She got her ears pierced and was such a big girl. She only cried for a second. She was so big and I was so suprised that she went through with it. I will try to get a picture up of her with her new heart earings. They did not have tinkerbell earings in studs. She is still very happy with them.

Grace trying to be patient. She really wanted to eat that pancake but of course I had to have a picture. It is so fun having kids!!
One of our traditions is making German pancakes. It has been great until Grace told us she hates eggs and would not eat them. Grandpa Hipwell made her this instead. It was my idea but he made the pancake for her. She squealed with delight when she saw her breakfast.

This Christmas we spent it with my family in Idaho. It was the first time in about 4 and half years that I have spent it with my parents. We are currently living next to my parents for a while. It has been great so far. I love Grace and Peyton getting to know my parents.We had a very Merry Christmas. Grace got her watch and roller skates and Peyton got her doll. Everyone was happy. And Grace loves Santa and wants to know when he is coming back.Thank you Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Rich for the matching pjs.

I was trying to get all caught up. But then realized that if I did that you wouldn't get to see Grace and Peyton at Christmas time. I don't think I am ever going to get caught up. Oh well my blog will be a little random for a while, sorry! These are pictures of Grace and Peyton at our town Christmas party. Santa made a appearance and they got to get there pictures taken with him. Grace was so excited to tell him that she wanted a pair of skates or a scooter. Peyton on the other hand was not quit sure of him. But she at least did not cry.Peyton told Santa that she wants a dolly or at least that is what Grace says she wants.

My mom loved holding Peyton.
Grace and Daddy had so much fun riding the 4-wheelers. They looked for Snow White/Snow Wizzle (that is what daddy calls her to make Gracie laugh) all day! Grace would say "Daddy lets sit on the 4-wheeler." " Daddy lets go for a ride."" Daddy lets look for Snow White."She was Richie's little buddy. They road the 4-wheeler for hours. Grace could not get enough!
This is Grace eating a huge hot dog! She told us she was very hungry and she wanted her own. She then eat two bite and said that her belly was happy!
So when I was packing for Idaho I forgot socks. We didn't need any until we went for a barbecue up in the mountains. So we improvised . Peyton is wearing gloves on her feet and she is very warm and happy! Plus they were a great toy! Thanks Dad!!

Peyton's Blessing was beautiful. It was such a special day! I will always remember that we blessed her on mothers day May 11. She is such a wonderful baby. I am finding it hard to explain how sweet she is. I just melt when she smiles at me. I love it when I go in her room in the morning to check on her and she looks up at me and gives me this beautiful little smile. She is sleeping through the night already! That in its self makes her a wonderful baby! I am so luck to have both my girls! My mom made Peyton's dress isn't it beautiful! Mom you are awesome!!!!!!!

Look how chubby Peyton is getting. She weighs 10 pounds !!!!! When I weighed her at the doctors office I was shocked. I can't believe that she is 7 weeks old and already 10 pounds!!! Its pretty bad when the first thought that goes through your mind is oh my gosh will she fit into her blessing dress! Grandma Joy is making her blessing dress for her blessing on May 11. I hope that she slows her weight down for a couple of weeks so she will fit into it. I am a little worried but I am sure it will all work out. She is very healthy and that is what matters the most!!!

Its our Anniversary! I can't believe that it has been four years. It feels like yesterday day when we took this picture! I am in love with Richie more today then ever! Being married to the man that you love is the best. I can't believe that we have two little girls. I dreamed of the day that I would finds my prince Charming and have children and it is even better than in my dreams. I am the luckiest girl! I don't know what I did in heaven to deserve all of this but I am sure happy that this life is mine. If I had it to do all over again I would definitely marry Richie again. Some awesome things about him are he always tells me he loves me, he is the best dad to both our girls, and he loves to buy me things! He is a tease which is sometimes good and sometimes bad. He helps out around the house which I love. He takes Grace on walks when I need a brake. He lets me hang out with the girls whenever I want. He is the best! It has been an awesome four years. I love you Richie!!!!
